Carhartt WIP x Mackintosh Presented by END.

Presenting a three-way collaboration rooted in functional design, British brand END. link up with Carhartt WIP and Mackintosh across 9 essential pieces from the two brands’ archives.

Capitalising on Carhartt WIP and Mackintosh’s separate histories, END. celebrate the American and the Scottish brands, combining their DNA throughout a selection of their most iconic and recognisable garments. With over 200 years of experience at the forefront of outerwear manufacture, Mackintosh’s technical garment construction is renowned for its exceptional quality and hand finished details. Infusing their traditional aesthetics with Carhartt WIP’s workwear sensibilities, this collaborative offering champions hardwearing clothing and the rich heritage behind it.

Centring around a duo of outerwear pieces that symbolise each brand’s core stylistic values, the Borness Coat and Detroit Jacket beautifully embody the ethos and attitude that serves as Mackintosh and Carhartt WIP’s foundation. Transforming a workwear classic, the Detroit Jacket is constructed from a waterproof Scottish cotton and features hand glued taped seams and a two-way front zip. Dressed in Carhartt WIP’s trademark Putty colour, the jacket sees Mackintosh apply their famous manufacturing techniques to a timeless piece of American design history. Adapting the Borness Coat, the Scottish brand reimagines their own legacy, transforming the knee length garment in a Bronze Brown colour. Constructed with water resistance in mind, the coat features a duo of handwarmer welt pockets alongside an interior phone pocket with a button closure.

Complementing the collection’s key outerwear pieces, the Mack Vest offers a co-branded take on a Carhartt WIP essential. Quilt-lined and detailed with a striped exterior, Carhartt WIP and Mackintosh’s branding sits side by side to the pocket. The double knee pants are utilitarian in approach, constructed from 100% cotton and featuring tool pockets to the left leg, while the jersey Hooded Sweatshirt and T-shirt deliver classic Carhartt WIP style infused with Mackintosh’s branding codes. Rounding off the collection with a duo of headwear pieces, Carhartt WIP’s instantly recognisable brown hue is cast across the water-resistant Cap and Bucket Hat, with a woven brand tab featuring Mackintosh branding rounding off the elevated accessories. The collection is made complete with the nylon Tote Bag; an onion quilted piece rendered in Carhartt WIP’s brown colour and featuring dual branding to the exterior with a phone pocket to the interior.
